The January 20, 2020 Dior couture show took place inside the womblike chamber of Judy Chicago‘s enormous Inflatable Mother Goddess. Even better is that the show was held in the garden of the Musée Rodin. An act of temporal comeuppance for the artist whose protegée, Camille Claudel, is now in the ascendancy. Kudos to Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s first female creative director, for her work putting women artists in the forefront of major projects.
Articles on the event appeared in many media outlets including Harper’s Bazaar, The New York Times, and The Guardian.
