Jamie Brunson’s practices Kundalini meditation, a traditional Indian form based on rhythmic breathing. While meditating, practitioners were known to enter a visceral state, consisting of specific physical and visual qualities. In her work, she combines her meditation practice with her artistic practice, visually transferring that state into art by using vibrant colors and patterns to express the sensory experience that occurs during meditation.
