Turner Carroll Gallery is honored to host a discussion by members of the Visual Arts faculty from Albuquerque Academy at 4pm Saturday, October 19, at Turner Carroll Gallery, located at 725 Canyon Road in Santa Fe. The discussion will focus on the integration of visual art into contemporary life, as both a practice and and mode of expression, as well as a visual language that deepens ones understanding of the world, according to Tim Mullane, Chair of Visual Arts at Albuquerque Academy.

And at 5 pm, Lisa Tamiris Becker, Director of the University of New Mexico Art Museum will speak on the topic of the Museum’s outstanding, world-class permanent art collection in honor of the 50th anniversary of the museum. Becker is a veteran art historian, having curated and organized over 50 major exhibitions with a primary focus on hybrid interpretations of modern and contemporary art. Her exhibitions have been reviewed in Art in America, Time Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal, amongst other publications. This event coincides with the Historic Canyon Road paint off. End your day with these to exciting discussions, accompanied by refreshments and wonderful art!
