Andrei Zadorine is one of the most acclaimed artists to emerge from the former Soviet Union. He draws inspiration from his own childhood memories and historic photographs. Known for his dramatic use of light to create a dreamlike atmosphere, Zadorine’s paintings show undeniable technical mastery. Zadorine’s paintings are included in the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. His paintings were also featured in the exhibition “Magical Realism: The New Generation” at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Colorado. There is a beautiful monograph about Zadorine’s work.
